Rose Ann Lee Witt, 80, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Herbert Hutsell and Cora Etta McCormick Hutsell, and was also preceded in death by a son, David Ricky Witt; two brothers, Harold Dean Hutsell and Charles Henry Hutsell.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Riley Ross "Tim" Witt of Athens; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Lou Witt Ervin and husband, Greg, of Vinemont, Ala.; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Charles Ross Witt of Englewood, Jimmy Dean Witt and his wife, Dora, of Middlesboro, Ky., Timothy Allen "Tim" Witt and his wife, Margie, of Athens, and Tommy Paul Witt and his wife, Patty, of Niota; 18 grandchildren, Katelan, Charles Jr., Angel, Billy, Carrie, Bradley, Brittany, Kendra, Jessica, Vicky, Kirby, Brandon, Nick, Bailey, Quinton, Trenella, Amanda, and Thomas; 25 great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Rue of Athens, Ida Smith of Athens, Judy Long and her husband, Robert, of Athens, and Linda LeRoy and her husband, Louie, of Athens; former daughter-in-law, Janet McDermott of Athens; sister-in-law, Shirley Hutsell of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with Brother Billy Witt officiating.
Burial will be in Hampton Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Witt, Thomas Witt, Quinton Witt, Bailey Witt, Nick Witt, and Bradley Witt.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Ziegler Funeral Home of Athens has been entrusted with the care of Rose Ann Lee Witt.
