After much time and searching for Minnie's grave, Jessie's mother Amanda, we finally obtained info from the MN Dept of Health that she was buried in Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis and buried as Amanda Minnie Leighton, as Leighton was last marriage, previous marriage was to Ozro Sawyer. Minnie has no grave or head stone, just a cemetery (lot) marker No. 698 as shown in photo. Located at Section SB15 Lot 698 Space 1 Born 1867 and died 1943.
By total surprise, we learned that her daughter Jessie is buried just to the left of Minnie. Jessie was Paul Sawyers sister, Jessie married Charles Riley at age 16, Charley was 32, and they had two children; Don and Gene Riley. Jessie was born in 1895 and died in 1923 at the age of just 28. Charley is not buried by Jessie and not sure where he is buried. The cemetery even had the reason Jessie died: bronchial chronic lung abscess. She lived and died at 4400 Stevens Ave So in Minneapolis, and burial arrangements for both Minnie and Jessie were done by Paul Sawyer.
