Donald is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anna Marie Adams; son, Donald Adams, Jr. and his fianc‚ Kim Chester of Newark, DE; and 3 daughters, Cassie M. and her husband Stephen G. Walls of Middletown, DE, Mary Ann and her husband Ted Cronin of Newark, DE and Deborah L. and her husband Keith R. Elliott of Newark, DE. His 8 brothers, Bruce Adams of Vallejo, CA, Denny Ray Adams of Newark, DE, Daniel Adams and Charlie Adams, both of New Castle, DE, Doyle Adams of Newport, DE, David Adams, Leonard Adams and Larry Adams, all of Ermine, KY; and 4 sisters, Emily Rosson of Boaz, AL, Judy Lombardi of Newark, DE, Jan Greer of Bowers Beach, DE and Valerie Bently of Millstone, KY also survive him. His 9 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and 1 great step granddaughter survive as well. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Cassie Adams; and his sister, Rose Marie Fields.
A service in memory of Donald will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 19 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 79 Christiana Rd., New Castle, DE, where friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
