James E. Clancy, 85, died yesterday at a local nursing home.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel, Santa Cruz; a son, Dr. Donald Clancy, Riverside; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Warren, Monterey; also five grandchil dren and two great grandchildren. Clancy was a member and former treasurer of the Fir.it Presbyterian church, Santa Cruz; Santa Cruz Lodge 38, F& AM; Royal and Select Masters, Santa Cruz Council 17; Royal Arch Masons Commandery 44; charter member and former secretary of the Santa Cruz Historical society. He was a native of New York.
Strictly private family services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at White's chapel. Rev. Thomas D. Ewing, First Presbyterian church, will officiate. Friends may call tomorrow night at the mortuary until 9 o'clock and Tuesday until noon. Interment will be in Mt. View cemetery, Altadena.
