Eileen Ripley, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2016.
Eileen worked for the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office, Hamilton Township Municipal Court, and the Atlantic County Surrogate’s Office, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Mays Landing Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and St. Vincent de Paul Altar and Rosary Society. Eileen was an avid sewer and baker and enjoyed many family gatherings on the river, but her greatest joy in life was her husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Elmer; her children: Robert Ripley (Amanda), Martin Ripley, Virginia Kisby (Edgar), Eileen Mason (Michael), and Timothy Ripley (Alicia); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her brother David Morris; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Alice Morris; daughter Sheryl Richardson; brothers Henry Morris and James Morris, and her sister Marjorie Horton.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 27, from 9-11 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Hwy. Mays Landing, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
