Son of James Monroe and Ola Barker Porter. Spouse of Joyce Terrell. Married 9 Aug 1953. Children: James Monroe, John Ray, Jolene Kay, Jana Mae, and Joel Allen. Jim had a beautiful voice and often sang for family and friends. He also had an acting talent, once playing the king in The King and I at Bowlus Art Center in Iola, KS.∼Put to rest with his father James Monroe Porter nd his Two sisters Mary Pace and violet King and his Grandfather Elisha and Grandmother Sarah Elvira. Was a very Handson Guy. Had a smile that would melt you.
