BULLETIN - MISHICOT –
A man was fatally injured shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when a
gravel truck passed over his body in the vicinity of the bridge
on Highway 14 in the village. He was identified as John Anderla,
retired, who was watching progress on the street paving project.
No other details were immediately available.

Funeral services for John M. Anderla, 76, of Mishicot, who was
accidentally killed Tuesday, were at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross
Catholic Church Mishicot. The Rev. Anthony Betley officiated and
burial was in the church cemetery.

Mishicot Rites for J. Anderla
Rites were held in the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot Friday for John M. Anderla, 76, who was killed in Mishicot when a dump truck backed over him at a construction site in the village. He died of a skull fracture, crushed chest and other injuries. The Rev. Beily officiated and burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.
He was born in Stangelville, October 18, 1888, the son of the late Matt and Anna Pavlik Anderla. He married Barbara Schleis October 26, 1915 at the St. Lawrence Church, Stangelville and she preceded him in death in 1955. He was employed at the Hamilton Plant in Two Rivers for 40 years, retiring 11 years ago.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Ione) Rastia, Manitowoc; a son, Lester of Mishicot; three brothers, Matt of Grafton, Joseph, Stangelville, Anthony, Milwaukee and four sisters, Mrs. Cecelia Hruska, Algoma, Mrs. Wencel Husnik, Kewaunee, Mrs. Louis Freix of Green Bay; six grandchildren.
