He lived in Pittsburg County all his life and over fifty years in the Ash Creek community. He married Ophelia Donaldson on June 19, 1939 in Crowder and was a rancher.
He attended McAlester First Baptist Church and was a member of Masonic Lodge Solomon No. 32.
Survivors include his children, Burke Williams, Patricia Gaines, and Kathy Williams; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mel Daniel of Krebs, and Pauline Voss; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Jane Trammell; three sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be at 10am, Saturday at Mills Chapel with Dr. Randall Adams officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
