Mrs. Ira Assmann, 68, a lifelong resident of the Town of Mishicot, died
unexpectedly of a heart attack at her farm home on Rt. 1, Mishicot, at
12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Lutheran
Church, Mishicot, the Rev. Edward Zell officiating. Burial will be in the
Mishicot Public Cemetery.
Mrs. Assmann, nee Mary Gesser, was born in the Town of Mishicot, Sept. 12,
1886, a daughter of the late Adam and Barbara Hallada Gesser. She was
married to Ira Assmann at Two Rivers in 1906 after which they acquired a
farm in Mishicot, where she had resided since.
Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Miss Alice Assmann at home,
and Mrs. John Kobes of Rt. 1, Mishicot, three sons, Ralph and Alfred at
home and Florian Assmann of Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. William Bernam of
Athens, Wis., a brother, Joseph Gesser of Rt. 1, Mishicot, and five
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot after 7 p.m. Monday
until 11 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church.
