Brethorst-Nelson, Velma J. age 89, of Bloomington, born Feb. 22, 1922, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2011. Preceded in death by husband, Raymond Brethorst and second husband, Clifford Nelson; son, Eugene Brethorst; brother, Gordon Langhoff; and parents, Gus and Grace Langhoff. Survived by children, Gennean (Mike) Reardon, Karen (Robert) Nissen, Jan Wilson, Keith (Kay) Brethorst; brother, Kenny Langhoff; sister, Betty Borghiinck; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church Bloomington for 51 years. She was very active in her card mission, bible study and wedding receptions. She loved to go fishing and being at the lake cabin. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was loved by many dear friends. She will be deeply missed by all.
