Laura R. Beireis, 94, of New Lebanon, OH, passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side on Thursday, May 26, 2016. Born August 9, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Filmore & Mary (Messer) Neeley. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Dayton and a follower of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. She loved the Lord, she loved others, and was greatly loved by her family and all who knew her. During WW II, she worked at the Bluegrass Ordinance in KY; and later for the Inland Division of GM and Precision Rubber. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, crosswords, puzzles and card games.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands Elmer D. Ward and Herbert A. Beireis: daughter Anna Mae Doss: son Butch Beireis: and 17 brothers and sisters.

Left to share her legacy are children Jean Eastridge of New Lebanon, Joyce Lease of Versailles, OH; Betty Kreitzer of Dayton; Belinda Beireis of Cleveland, OH; and Charles Beireis of Lexington, OH: 28 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 41 great great grandchildren: and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Monday, May 30, 2016 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Home at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will follow beginning at 1:00 pm with Pastor Wilmer Mitchell presiding. Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
