"Mrs. Ada Sarah Collier Burdine, 84, a native of Pass Christian and a resident of Gulfport for 40 years, died Thursday afternoon at 5:07 o'clock at her home, 222 17th St., Gulfport. Mrs. Burdine, born Nov. 26, 1873, was the daughter of John and Lonnie Con Collier. She was the widow of John Burdine. Mrs. Burdine is survived by three sons, John Burdine, Sterling, La.; Thomas Burdine and Jack Burdine, Gulfport; two daughters, Mrs. George Nelson, Ocean Springs, and Miss Georgia Burdine, Gulfport; 11 grandchildren, including Mrs. Eugene DeJean, Mississippi City, and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from Lang Funeral Home, 1103 32nd Ave., with the Rev. Earl P. Knobloch, pastor of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, officiating.. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery."
