Frances E. Brandenburg, 67, of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28,2016 at her residence with many of her family and friends at her side. She leaves these family members to cherish her memories.

She was born on May 24,1949 in Charleston, WV to Frank Snodgrass and Julia V. (Rutledge) Davis. Frances was a homemaker and loved playing bingo, listening to music and playing board games. Survivors include her husband of 26 years, William Brandenburg of Winchester; 4 children, Tanna (Mark) Day of Portland, Tonya Ackman (friend Bill Bousman) of Winchester, Dusty Ackman of Winchester and Billie D. (Jessica) Brandenburg of Winchester; 3 step-children, Tracy Brandenburg, Chuck (Angel) Brandenburg and Brian Brandenburg, all of Alabama; also her mother, Julia V. Davis of Winchester; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren. In addition are 5 sisters, Judy (George) Neutz of Michigan, Shirley (Brice) Willons of Angola, Martha (David, deceased) McCoy of Winchester, Pat (Bill) Pierce of Angola and Faye (Gary) Musser of FL; a brother, Gary (Drema) Young of Ohio; 2 step-brothers, Fred (Patti) Davis of Winchester and Charles (Jenny) Davis of Muncie; 4 step-sisters, Alice (Paul) Franks of Portland, Sandy (Frank) Potter of Churubusco, Darlene (Richard) Hart of Parker City and Pam (Rod) Carpenter of Winchester; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by her father, Frank Snodgrass; her step-father, Chester Davis and her sister, Roberta Ann Mitchell.

Funeral services for Frances will be held on Thursday, June 2,2016 at 1 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Jerry Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. Friends and relatives may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and also one hour prior to services on Thursday.
