Mother Dies After Death of Triplets
Following the death of her three children, to whom she bacame a mother on March 10th last, Mrs. James Atwill, 31 years of age, herself succumbed this morning, death coming at 2:30 o'clock at Hershey hospital, where she had been in a critical condition for the last six weeks. Death was resultant from her bearing of triplets. The first babe to die was shortly after its birth. The second succumbed about three weeks later and the third of the three infants breathed its last on Thursday of last week. Grace Tooman was born at West Liberty, March 14, 1881, where she lived for several years, removing from there to Nebraska, and lived there until nine years ago when she moved to Muscatine. She was united in marriage November 17, 1908, to James Atwill, and they have lived in this city since that time. Mrs. Atwill leaves to survive her, her husband, her mother, Mrs. Jesse Tooman, two sisters, Mrs. Louis Boble, of Omaha, and Miss Doris Tooman, of Baldwin, Wyoming, and two brothers, Roy and Leslie, both of Muscatine. No funeral arrangements have been made as yet, but will be announced later. . . .
