OBITUARY
WEST PEORIA - Earl N. Greer, 81, of St. Joseph's Home of Peoria died at 8:20 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Feb. 7, 1920, in Washington, Pa., to Roy and Lena Greer, he married Mertie Carpenter on Aug. 19, 1963, in Springfield. She died in 1971 in Springfield. He later married Erma Fryer on April 2, 1977, in Peoria. She died July 21, 2001, in Peoria.

Surviving are two stepdaughters, Beverly (and Ben) Bishop of Peoria and Bernetta ''Burt'' (and Pat) Fryer of Mapleton; three stepsons, Earl Fryer, Howard Fryer and Ace Fryer, all of Peoria; 10 stepgrandchildren; 23 stepgreatgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was a member of Bible Christian Church in Peoria.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Wayne Knipmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Home of Peoria.
