DORIS BLUM

Pioneer of Mishicot Passes Away
Mrs. Wm. Blum, 88, pioneer of Mishicot passed away at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Henry Thlelbar, In the township this morning. Burial
will be Tuesday afternoon at two from the St Peter's Lutheran church in
Mishicot.
Mrs. Blum, nee Doris Wulf, was born in Holstein, Germany, July 21, 1843.
At the age of 14 years she came to this country with her parents and
settled in Mishicot. On March 6, 1865 she was united in marriage to
William Blum, who preceded her in death 25 years ago. She had been a
resident of Mishicot 65 years.
Eight children were born to the couple with six surviving. There are five
daughters, Mrs. Nick Nocker, Manitowoc; Mrs. William Redeker, Mrs. Otto
Schmidt Mishicot; Mrs. Paul Schmidt Milwaukee and Mrs. Henry Thielbar of
Mishicot and a son, William Blum, of Gibson.
