Lillian peacefully passed away on Monday, May 30th, 2016. She was born, May 18th, 1933 in the city of Marble City, OK. Lillian was the beloved wife of the late Codie Mullins.
Lillian loved life. She was a member of the Cherokee nation and was very proud of her Native American heritage. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her smile and laugh could light up a room and she had a fabulous sense of humor. There was and never will be anyone like her. She was a unique and vibrant woman. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors left to cherish her memory include her son: Jim Mullins & wife, Patty of Sapulpa; grandchildren: Terra Mullins of Sapulpa, and Codie A. Mullins & wife, Kim of Jenks; great-grandchildren: Autumn, Logan, and Noah Mullins; sister: Clemer "Louise" (Seaton) Putnam and husband, Lee of Glenpool; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded by her parents: Jesse James Shanks and Fannie Shanks; her husband, Codie Mullins; her son: Timothy Mullins; four brothers: Gano, John, James "Babe", Bobby Jack Shanks; and two sisters, Pauline and Lahoma "Tommie" Lowe.
Special thanks to Sharon (Lowe) Christian and Billy Wayne Shanks for all the love and support they provided to Lillian and her family in her final weeks.
Graveside services - 10am Friday, June 3rd, 2016 at Green Hill Cemetery, 400 E Teel Rd, Sapulpa, OK.
Officiating will be the Reverend Kevin Lewis.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, OK.
