Adelle Brogdon
BONHAM - Graveside services for Mrs. Adelle Brogdon, age 86, of Bonham, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2001 in Randolph-Lindsey Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Fred Connally, Jr., a nephew, will officiate. Mrs. Brogdon passed away early Monday, August 20, 2001 at I.H.S. of Bonham (formerly Seven Oaks Care Center).
Mrs. Brogdon was born September 15, 1914 in Fannin County, Texas, the daughter of W. H. Jones and Lydia C. Lorance Jones. She attended high school and nursing school. She married Ruby R. Brogdon on August 6, 1976 in Dallas, and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1987. Mrs. Brogdon was an employee of Sears & Roebuck in Dallas for many years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Northeast Medical Center Hospital Auxillary "Pink Ladies" and made crafts for their gift shop. She was also a member of the African Violet Club. Mrs. Brogdon was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde Jones and Dr. William Clarence Jones; and four sisters, Opal Reynolds, Ethel Baker, Nettie Connally and Gertrude Davis.
Surviving are her sister, Mrs. Alberta Biggerstaff; nephews, Fred Connally, Jr., Leslie Connally and Fred Biggerstaff; nieces, Barbara Worsham, Anna Mason, Lydia McClanahan, and Wanda Yarbrough.
