Little Margaret Burmeister, second child of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Burmeister, Mishicot, was taken to the Holy Family Hospital at Manitowoc, last Wednesday in a very serious condition following a severe case of scarlet fever. The family has been in quarantine for nearly four weeks, three other children, Lorella, age 8, Herman Jr., age 4 and Orrie, age two, having had the malady simultaneously. All recovered from the fever with the exception of Margaret whose vitality seemed unable to throw it off. At the time she was taken to the hospital, her temperature registered 106, Mr. Burmeister said. There was quite an epidemic in and around the village of Mishicot this spring and the Burmeister family was one of the last to get it. Reports received from the hospital this morning said the child was bravely holding her own.
