Hazel O. Burtscher, age 90, of 1235 S. 24th St., Manitowoc, was called to her eternal rest Friday, April 11, 1997, at a local nursing home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 1997, at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot. Rev. Steve Rose will officiate with burial in Mishicot Public Cemetery.
She was born September 19, 1906, in Franklin, Kentucky, to the late Sherman and Daisy (Johnston) Dickens and has been a resident of Manitowoc since 1980. Mrs. Burtscher was ordained a Minister of the Baptist Church in 1929. She married Henry Burtscher October 20, 1923, in Handleton, Tenn. He preceded her in death August 13, 1972. Mrs. Burtscher loved being with and ministering to all people. She was a lifelong member of the Mitchelville General Baptist Church, Mitchelville, Tenn.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ruby Nell and James Riley, Mishicot; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Tamara Burtscher, Saginaw, Mich.; three grandchildren, Pam (Clayton) Jebavy, Ann Michel and her fiance, Conrad Waniger, Michelle Burtscher; five great grandchildren, Rebecca, Dana, Jill, Jamie, and Johnny; one brother, Douglas (Lizzie) Dickens, Portland, Tenn.; one sister, Reed (Bob) West, Portland, Tenn.
Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, after 1 p.m. on Sunday (TODAY) until the time of funeral service.
