Lester Edwin Lawler was born January 12, 1914 and departed this life August 29, 1959
He was son of John Wilburn Lawler and Francis Isabelle "Fannie" Watson Lawler.
Lester married Willie Lea Stewart in 1935 in San Angelo, Texas.

Lester Lawler was a hard working man his entire life. He was a devoted Husband, loving father of 5 children and a step son who was Willie Stewart's only child at the time of their marriage. From anyone's impression he loved all six of their children equally. Lester Lawler was preceded in death by two of his children, his daughter Sally Dena Lawler age 6 and son J L Rocky Lawler in infancy. Preceding him in death as well were his father and mother, John Wilburn and Francis Lawler, 3 brothers Silas Joab, Lawrence Teague and Walter Marion Lawler. He left behind 4 surviving Brothers and one Sister - John William "Bill", Thomas Jefferson "Joe", Arthur Lee, Isam Riley "Pete/Scott" and Louvenia Pearl Lawler w/o Doc Gilbreath. He was survived by his wife of 24 years Willie Stewart Lawler, 4 sons, Virgil Van Huss Sr and wife Dorothy Nell, Raymond Riley "Bill" Lawler, James Richard Lawler and Thomas Edwin Lawler. Lester Lawler had 4 grandchildren at the time of his death. He was blessed to have had a multitude of nephews and nieces among the family and in-laws. He lived a life which was truly respected from family, neighbors and friends which left standing room only by the amount of people who came to pay their respects. In honor of a good man, Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grand Father and Uncle to many may he rest in peace.

You can tell how much someone is loved when the memories and the stories told are never ending or quieted. Lester Lawler has been loved and missed by many of his grandchildren who only had the stories told to them by those who knew him. He was the kind of man who believed in goodness to others and treat people the way you would want to be treated.
