"Clyde" was born to parents Eunice (nee Mills) and Joseph Emory Pleasant. He married Mary Carolyn Reiss on March 14, 1931, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. The family resided in Galena Park, TX for a number of years, and eventually settled in the Spring Branch area of Houston. Clyde became owner of Pleasant Insurance Agency, and wife Mary became office manager. He was very active in the American Legion. Burial service held on August 24, 1968, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
