Charles was born in Houston to parents Myrtle (nee Marschall) and Charles William Wimberly, Sr. He graduated from Lamar High School and the University of Houston. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He worked for and retired from Prudential Insurance. Charles was a long time member of the Bellaire Lodge No. 1336 A.F.&A.M., Ruthvan Comandery No. 2 Knights Templar, Houston Scottish Rite, Arabia Temple, Past Patron Andral Vann Chapter No. 741, Washington Chapter #2 R.A.M. and Houston Council #1 R&SM. He was very active in the Episcopal Church. Charles never married. PID by parents. Survived by brother Bruce Lane Wimberly and nieces Michelle Renee Steiwig, Deborah Denise Wimberly and great-nephew Logan Steiwig. Burial services held on June 17, 1998.
