Perry was the son of William and Caroline (Fletter) Andrews and was married to Ola Nevenhuysen. They had one daughter Gladys M. Andrews (1899-1997)

For many years he was a director of the Santa Cruz County Big Trees Park board.

He was a charter member of the Watsonville Elks Lodge, and a "50-year member of the Masons, Odd Fellows and Eastern Star."

Was a well known building contractor, building many homes in Watsonville, constructed "scores of packing houses and apple dryers which were the beginning of the Pajaro Valley's Industrial History." Director of the Pajaro Valley National Bank, the Federal Savings and Loan, the Apple Investment Co., and the El Pajaro Theater Co.

He died at his home in Watsonville on a Sunday after a long illness. He lived in Watsonville for 61 years
