John Allen Anderson, the son of Ava Davis and Allen Anderson, was born on June 29, 1932. He was a farmer for most of his life and has lived at the same location since birth.

John enjoyed driving race cars and motorcycles, welding, working in his shop or just tinkering in general, fixing things and operating heavy equipment. He also enjoyed gardening, farming and traveling.

He loved to travel. Sometimes he would go to town for parts and end up in Sioux City or Texas. You just never knew when he would disappear for a week or two, but he always came back.

He loved animals of all kinds: horses, cats, dogs, raccoons, skunks, opossums, etc. He would sit and "study" them for hours and learn their habits. He would even leave the door open and let them wander in and out of his home.

John was a very generous man and would help anyone who asked him for help. He was always running off to the neighbors to help fix something, help with the harvest, dig a hole with his caterpillar, bury a grove or whatever needed to be done.

John left us on March 4, 2016, at the age of eighty-three. He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen & Ava; his sister, Frankie (Dolly); two grandsons, Bryon & Kenny.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Linda Cushing (Tom), Sharon Matthews (Leo), Steven Anderson (Dot), Douglas Anderson (Michelle), Duane Anderson and Rita Wendelsdorf (Jamie); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and relatives.
