age 76 of Dayton went home to be with the Lord on November 16, 2007, at 11:25 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She graduated from Dunbar High School in 1949. She was a loving and faithful mother who believed in her children and a dedicated grandmother "Nanny," and will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Elijah Benjamin and Willie Mae Crane Sr., 4 brothers Herman, Solomon, Henry, and James. She is survived by one brother, Elijah B. Crane, Jr. of Dayton, OH; one aunt, Lisha Bugg, of Madison, TN; 4 daughters: Sharon McAtee of Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Sheila Crane of Dayton, OH, Sheryl (Clifford) Caver of Detroit, MI, and Shellie Crane of Dayton, OH; 5 sons: Jerry (Marlene) of Dayton, OH, Jeffery (Shirley) of Fairmont, W.Va., Alfred "Todd" (Pat) of St. Wilmington, DE, Darryl (Cherrie) of Dayton, OH, and Elder Darrin (Lisa) of Columbus, GA; 22 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held Friday, November 23, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Donald Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Internment Green Castle Cemetery. Arrangement entrusted to Bowman Funeral Chapel.
