Clarence Marshall Farris, 63, Camden, died at 1 o'clock this moring, May 12,1971, at the Ray County Memorial hospital. He had been in poor health for some
time of a heart condition, but death was unexpected.

He was born Oct. 26, 1907, at Camden, a son of Benjamin and Hannah Belle (Rizor) Farris, both of Ray County. He had lived his lifetime in Ray county.

On April 16, 1929, he was married to Irene Covey of Camden who survives the home.

He is also survived by four sons, James, Marshall, Sammy and Michael Farris of the home; eight daughters, Mrs. Betty Garrett and Mrs. Mary Lusk of Camden, Mrs.
Rebecca Newsome, Mrs. Patty Richardson and Mrs. Newania Garrett of Orrick and Alice, Christa and Rita of the home, and 16 grandchildren. Three daughters died previously.

The family will receive friends at the Growing funeral home in Orrick after 7 o'clock Thursday evening.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Growing Orrick chapel.

Burial will be in the Craven Cemetery near Camden.
