Stephen Eugene Hill, age 50 of Elwood, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2011 at Trinity West Health Campus in Rock Island IL where he was receiving specialized care for an extended illness.

He was born August 21, 1960 in Elwood, the son of Donald J. and Nancy J. (Cotton) Hill.

He had been hospitalized recently, fighting the effects of C.O.P.D., which he had for several years. He was self-employed as a rental property manager. He was a 1978 graduate of Frankton High School and also a graduate of John H. Hinds Career Center in Elwood. He was a member of the Hobbs United Methodist Church. Stephen was well known for having a great sense of humor.

Survivors include: Father – Donald J. Hill of Elwood; and Sister – Evelyn V. Hill of Elwood.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy J. (Cotton) Hill in 2004.

Cremation took place. Stephen will be remembered at a Reunion Memorial Service which will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 2 to 4 PM at Beyond the Greens Restaurant (Cattails Golf Club) in Elwood.
