Dena Inez Ferguson, 95, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 29, 2006.

Dena was born in McKinney, Texas on February 23, 1911 to Daddy Bob and Lundy Pate Powers. In 1943, she moved from Hamilton to Abilene, where she married Melton Ferguson in 1966. Melton passed away on November 28, 1996. Dena then moved to Clyde to be with her daughter.

Dena was a homemaker and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a very loving and kind woman, always ready to help others. Dena will be missed by all.

She was also predeceased by her parents; brothers, Roy Powers, Son Powers, Glenn Powers and Elmer Powers; and sisters, Nora Sellers, Flora Eachman and Lillie.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Ramos of Clyde; one son, Roy Hudspeth of Odessa; four brothers, Bobby Powers of San Angelo, and Billy Powers, Charles Powers, and Walter Powers all of Brownwood; and a sister, Johnny Taylor of Snyder. Dena is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith with Brother William Bardin officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ruben Ramos, R. J. Ramos, Tom Driver, Jason Barron, Jalle Freiman and Michael Cooley.
