Frances Baldwin, age 93 and a resident of Dallas, TX, for 52 years, passed away April 29, 2016. She was born October 8, 1922, in Canehill, AR, to Burchie Eugene and Mary Lou (Risley) Mahaffey. Frances was a member of the Church of Christ in Hot Springs AR, Walnut Hill and Preston Road in Dallas. She married her childhood sweetheart and they enjoyed over 50 years together. They traveled to England, Japan, Canada, Hong Kong and Hawaii. Frances loved to travel and collect china, including Wedgwood, Royal Crown Derby, Royal Worcester, Spode, and Royal Doulton, as well as Royal Doulton figurines. She was a good cook and enjoyed giving dinner parties for her friends so all could enjoy her collections, but she also liked to go out to eat with her husband. She collected teapots and hosted wonderful tea parties. She and her daughter Pamela often went antiquing at Roundtop. Frances was a collector and enjoyed sharing her treasures. She was a member of Butchart Garden Club, Birthday Club and Book Club. Frances loved her Collie dogs. She loved life and enjoyed her time with family and friends. She will be missed.

Frances is survived by her daughter: Pamela Sue Curtis and husband Bert; grandson: Christopher L. Curtis; brother: Ted Mahaffey; and sister Alma Louise. She was preceded in death by her husband Jewel S. Baldwin, her parents, sister Helen Rose Peters, and brother John Eugene Mahaffey.

Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Nevada Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel Monday from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
