Rita "Dianne" Griffin, 74, of Callahan, was granted her angel wings on May 31, 2016. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Dianne had touched throughout her life. Born on November 15, 1941, in Jacksonville to Alfred and Rita Schramm, she graduated from Paxon Junior Senior High in 1960. Shortly, thereafter, Dianne met her husband and welcomed her two sons. She is retired from both Sears and Jacksonville's Municipal Court Felony Department. Dianne was an active member of First Baptist Church of Callahan and Silver Sneakers. She enjoyed Crossword Puzzles, Bargain Shopping, and all things Elvis.
She is survived by her Husband of 51 years, Bobby Griffin; son Scott Griffin; grandchildren Brittany (Allen) Cox, Jonathan Conard, Courtney Griffin, Shaun Griffin, Dylan Griffin, MaKenzie Murphy, and Madison Murphy; her Great – Grandson Noah Cox; and her sisters Joyce Piper, Sandy Mossuto, Barbara Godwin, Michelle Calvin, Donna Keiper, and John "Jackie" Schramm. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alfred "Buddy" Schramm (Jr); and her son Robert "Robbie" Griffin.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Callahan from 10 – 11 AM with Services following at 11: 00 AM, officiated by Associate Pastor Todd Carr. Interment will be held at 2:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nassau Funeral Home 541720 US Highway 1 Callahan, Florida 32011
