31 Oct 2006: Dorothy E. "Dottie" Schock, 78, Lebanon, died Saturday, October 28, 2006, in her home. She was born December 25, 1927, in Port Carbon, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Ocelus Balulis. She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church where she had attended since 1952. She was the manager of Freeport Mills Golf Course which she and her husband own. She served as a clerk of elections for almost 30 years at Ebenezer Fire Company polling location. Surviving are husband James J. Schock of Lebanon; sons James E. Schock and Edward J. Schock both of Lebanon; daughter Christine, spouse of John Barzensky of Port Carbon; sisters Lillian Mistishen of Port Carbon and M. Grace Edward of Hollidaysburg; grandchildren Jonathan, spouse of Rikki Barzensky of Dunmore, Catrina, spouse of Juan Garcia of Wyomissing, and Jackie Barzensky of Port Carbon; great-grandchild Christopher Garcia, Abigail Garcia, Isabel Garcia and Ava Barzensky; and several nieces and nephews.
