Patricia Louisa Hackney Mullenax, 71, of Morgantown was called to her Heavenly home on June 6, 2016, with her family by her side.

Patricia was born Sunday, July 2, 1944 in Morgantown. The daughter of Mildred M. Martin Hackney of Morgantown and the late John R. Hackney, Sr.

Patricia grew up in the Woodburn area of Morgantown. She graduated from Morgantown High School in 1962, was a member of Sabra United Methodist Church, and active in the womens axillary at the Westover VFW.

She is survived her son and his wife, Kevin and Sharon Mullenax; four granddaughters, Ashley Mullenax Brown and her husband, Kyle, Cassandra Mullenax and her companion, Jeremy Bolyard, Olivia Mullenax, and Amy Deasy; two grandsons, Troy Linn and his wife, Brandii and Casey Linn and his fiancée, Ashley Marshall; great grandchildren: Abyona Mullenax, Avaya Brown, Abel D. Bolyard, Kaden Linn, and Zayne Linn; a brother, John R. Hackney, Jr. and his wife, Liz; and a sister, Shirley Daft; several nephews and a niece; and extended family, Jennifer Gill, Pastor Larry Buckland and Trey.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother in law, Robert Daft.

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and again Friday, June 10, 2016, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service with Pastor Larry Buckland officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
