OBIT:
George Scott, a carpenter, living in the south part of the city died Saturday of cancer after a lingering illness. The funeral service was held at the Christian Church, Sunday at 3 p.m. and the body was taken to Martinsville, MO that evening.
He leaves a wife who lives here and several other relatives in other places. Mr. Scott was a faithful member of the Christian Church and has been an official of that organization for several years.
