Lester P. Hronek, age 87, former town of Gibson resident, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999 at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999 at the Lambert Funeral Home in Mishicot, with the Rev. John Neuser officiating. Burial in the Mishicot Public Cemetery.
Lester was born Aug. 30, 1912 in the town of Gibson to the late Matt and Anna Robinson Hronek. He farmed in the town of Gibson for many years and also worked for the Manitowoc Engineering Company for 17 consecutive years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Local Union #516 and enjoyed listening to polka music.
Lester is survived by one sister, Lillian Troullier of Larrabee, nieces and nephews, including special nieces and nephews, Arlene and Dan Klimesh of Two Rivers, David and Pat Ray of Valders and Roger and Anne Ray of Manitowoc. One brother-in-law, John Novak of Two Rivers.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Hronek, two sisters, Marcellla Novak and Esther Ray, brothers-in-law George Troullier and Elmer Ray, one sister-in-law, Josephine Hronek, one step brother and six step sisters.
Relatives and friends may call after 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lambert Funeral Home in Mishicot until the time of service at 6 p.m.
