, age 80, resident of Fort Scott, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 7th, at Mercy Hospital.

He was born on July 23, 1935, in Fort Scott, the son of James Wrench and Christine Vann Wrench Anthony.

Morris was baptized at Wayman Chapel A.M.E Methodist Church at an early age.

He graduated from Fort Scott High School. Following his graduation he relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, where he lived for many years.

Morris married Barbara Parks who preceded him in death.

Of this union four children were born, Morris Wrench, Jr. (Vanessa), Terry Ray Wrench (Sylvia), Larry Dean Wrench and daughter Renee Wrench.

Morris married Laura Glenn. To this union was born one daughter, Sherry Wrench Jones (Maurice).

Morris married Sandy Tuller on July 22, 1978, in Kansas City, Missouri.

They lived in Fort Scott briefly, then relocated to Tucson, Arizona, for 20 years before returning to Fort Scott.

Morris enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and "hitting" the slot machines. He also loved cooking, especially barbecuing and enjoyed listening to music, especially Blues. Morris also enjoyed working the polls during elections. He had a special love of animals, especially his two dogs Suzy and Missy. One of the proudest moments of Morris's life was to vote for Barack Obama and see his election as President of the United States.

Survivors who cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Sandy, his mother Christine Vann Wrench Anthony, sister Winnie J. Ayers, brothers Edmond Wrench and Mr. Kim R. Wrench (Kevin). Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, 3 nieces, a host of cousins and many loving family members and friends.

Preceding him in death was his father, James, step-mother, Ruth Wrench, his grandparents, two sisters, Carol Teamer and Sherry Lee Ann Wrench Williams, 1 brother, Earl Dean Wrench, and former wife, Barbara Wrench.

Mr. Kim R. Wrench will officiate services at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 11th, at the Cheney Witt Chapel.

Cremation will follow.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the Chapel.

Memorials are suggested to Lee’s Paws and Claws and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, PO Box 347, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kansas 66701.
