Katherine M. Wilson, age 80, of 3405 Lincoln Ave., Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, June 27, 1996, at the Hamilton Memorial Home.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 1996, at St. Lukes Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Donald Schneider will officiate with burial in the Mishicot Public Cemetery.
She was born November 22, 1915, in Wabeno, Wis., daughter of the late Hubert and Minnie Hoffman Strong. She attended school in Wabeno, graduating from Wabeno High School. Katherine was married to Leslie (Percy) Kielman. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1974. She then married Hubert O. Wilson. He also preceded her in death on September 27, 1989. For a number of years, Katherine along with her first husband, Percy, owned and operated a tavern in Mishicot. Katherine volunteered many hours of her time helping at the Two Rivers Community Hospital, the Two Rivers Historical Society and the Rogers Street Fishing Village Museum. She was also a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center, where she was a member of the Kitchen Band headed by Mr. Dave Mlada.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Vince Burke, Two Rivers; three grandchildren, Beth Flentje, Troy Flentje and Brett Flentje; two great-granddaughters, Christa Flentje, and her sister, Kayla; one brother and sister-in-law, Ira and Shirley Strong, Two Rivers; one sister, Ceal Thurber, Appleton; a special friend, Clarence DeGodt, Two Rivers. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother, Adrian Strong and one sister, Marion Urbanek.
There will be no visitation.
