Harrison T. Abbott passed away at home on April 27, 2012. He was born November 28, 1916, the son of John and Gussie Penberthy Abbott, in Janesville, Wisconsin.

He lived in Mineral Point, Wisconsin and graduated from high school there. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Iowa.

He married Jean E. Gorgen on February 6, 1939, a marriage that lasted 70 years. She preceded him in death on May 29, 2009. He is survived by his four children and their spouses: Scott (Sharen), Jae (Howard), Michael (Susanne), and Kathy (Darrell), 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He worked for Oscar Mayer in Madison, Wisconsin, The United States Defense Engineering Agency in Davenport, Iowa, and the San Francisco Naval Shipyard in California. He and Jean retired to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas in 1986 where they lived until 2007. In 2007 they moved to Ogden, Utah to be near their daughter. They were residing in Ogden, Utah at the time of their deaths.
