Nina Monk
Mrs. Nina G. Monk, 80, formerly of Rosedale Apartments, died Thursday afternoon in the Americana Healthcare Center.
She was born July 8, 1897 in Wabash, and married Howard L. Monk March 31, 1920 in Bear Lake, Mich. He died May 17, 1966.
Surviving are three sons, Donald and Raymond, both of Elkhart, and Glenn, North Webster; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Janet) Truex, Elkhart, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Fred Finks of Winding Waters Brethren Church will officiate. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
She was a member of the First Brethren Church.
Memorials may be made to the Elkhart County Cancer Society.
