From the March 22, 1930 issue of the Illinoian-Star newspaper, Beardstown, Illinois: Funeral services for Mrs.
Amelia Buck were held here in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearl Kirby, 304 East 6th street yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Dr. S. P. Archer speaking words of hope and comfort. Mrs. Ed Reichert and Mrs. Harry Musch sang,
"Abide With Me" and "Sometime We'll Understand" with Mrs. Dora Thompson at the organ. The lovely floral offerings were cared for by Mrs. King, Mrs. Knarr, Mrs. Henderson and Mrs. Phillips. The body was tenderly laid to rest in the
city cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers: Elmer Shawgo, Earl Phillips, Wm. Owens, John Wilson, Oscar Knarr and Tom Dieu.
