HOLD FUNERAL SERVICES TOMORROW GOR GEORGE B. NOEL
George B. Noel, 94, died at 2:30p.m. yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lula A. Knost, 503 east Jackson, where he had made his home since his retirement in 1930. mr. Noel has been in failing health for the past two years.
Born at Milford, Illinois, March 22, 1856. Noel married Miss Hannah thompson Dec. 12, 1882 in Watseka, Illinois. the couple traveled to southwest Kansas by covered wagon and took up a homestead for a time in a sod house. the Noels moved to Purcell, Missouri, 55 years ago, again going by covered wagon.
Mrs. Hannah Noel died in November 25, 1928 in Purcell, Jasper, Missouri.
Mr. Noel was a member of the Apistolic church in Purcell.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Knost, 503 East jackson, Mrs Mary A. McGee, 209 East Cleveland and Mrs. Martha Auberton of Spokane, Washington; one son C. R. Noel of Purcell. There are eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Smith funeral home with Rev. C. J. Adkins officiating. Burial will be in the Purcell (Friends) Cemetery.
