Arvel Richard Boydston age 77 of Ider died Tuesday, June 7 at his home. Funeral services are Thursday at 1 pm ct at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rickey Deal officiating. Burial will follow in Fuller cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 to 8 pm Wednesday and 10 am until service time on Thursday.
Survivors include wife of 59 years, Johnnie Faye Buffington Boydston, son, Dewayne (Somvang) Boydston, daughters, Maxzine (David) Austin, Pam (Waldin) Brown, Annette (Phillip) Burney, grandchildren, Hercial Austin, Della (Richard) Smith, Deanna Boydston, Donald Boydston, Omar Wahdan, Amina Wahdan, Jacob Wahdan, Mara Blalock, Sawyer Blalock, great-grandson, Carter Wahdan.
Mr. Boydston served in the Alabama National Guard and retired from Wheland Foundry with 37 years of service. He was a member of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Hercial and Lula Hayes Boydston, brother, Paul Boydston.
