Frances A. Kornely, age 73, of 1113-17th St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening,
January 31, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 3, 1995, at Klein and Stangel
Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating
at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. David Deaudry with burial to follow
at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.
Frances was born April 21, 1921, in Mishicot, daughter of the late Oscar and
Frances Reuter Samz. She married John Kornely on June 10, 1944. Frances was a long
time employee of the Two Rivers Hospital, retiring in 1992. She was presently
employed by St. Mark's Parish as a housekeeper, she was a member of the Two Rivers
Senior Center.
Survivors include one son, Edd Kornely, town of Kossuth; one daughter and son-in-
law, Margaret aNd Kenneth Spaeth, Two Rivers; five brothers and sisters-in-law,
Joseph and Audry Samz, Bernard and Shirley Samz, William and Annette Samz, all of
Mishicot, Michael and Dorothy Samz, Two Rivers, Edward and Phyllis Samz, Houston,
Texas; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Eleanore Katner, Manitowoc, Katheryn
and Francis Tomcheck, Fond du Lac, Helen and Robert Koch, Mishicot, Sister Marietta
Samz, Tonica, Miss.; five grandchildren, one great granddaughter (private), special
friend, Alice Kornely, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends
also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Roland
and Marie Samz; one sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Gary LaFond, one brother-
in-law, John Kattner.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two
Rivers where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Frances always enjoyed many special times with her grandchildren and kept them close
in her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
