Westlund, Judy A.

Judy A. Westlund, age 70, a resident of Maribel, entered eternal life on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc.

Judy was born on November 10, 1945 in Ladysmith. She was the daughter of the late Franklin and Jean Pepper Kaul. Judy was a 1963 graduate of Flambeau High School in Tony, Wisconsin. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire. After college Judy was employed as a private secretary at Millprint Company in Milwaukee. On July 23, 1967 she married Scott Westlund at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Shorewood. In 1968 Judy and her husband Scott moved to Rockford, Illinois where she was employed at Commonwealth Edison Electric Company until 1974. In 1978 they moved to New Holstein where they established Scott's Home Improvements. During the following years Judy was involved with other secondary businesses such as beverage bottling, dairy farming, bee farming, real estate and a convenience store. Judy was an active member for 30 years with the Lakeshore United Methodist Church, the Thursday weekly bible study group, and a dedicated member of the Manitowoc Two Rivers YMCA.

She is survived by her of husband of 48 years: Scott; one daughter: Jennifer Jane, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Dana Elizabeth and Dominic William-Scott; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Laurie and David Lemke, Ladysmith; Marge and Bruce Evjen, Lake Holcomb; one brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Sharon Kaul, Ladysmith; nieces, nephews, other relatives and three special friends: Mary Lou, Barb, and Pam; along with many other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Franklin and Jean Kaul; and one brother: Frank Kaul Jr.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 1130 South 9th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Carly Kuntz with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Lakeshore United Methodist Church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
