"LLOYD ADKINS,12, of 417 W. 24th St., Huntington, died Teusday Feb.20, 1973 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 2pm Friday Feb. 23, at Reger Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Farley. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. He was born May 18, 1960 in Huntington a son of Irvin and Naomi Marcum Adkins. He was a sixth grade student at Washington Elementary, a newspaper carrier for the Huntington Publishing Company, and a member of the Jefferson Avenue Church of God and Boy Scouts of America, Troop 25. Survivors include one sister, Sandra Faye Adkins at home and a grandmother, Mrs. Sadie Cline of Switzer."

Lloyd was on his bicycle delivering newspapers when he was accidentally hit by an automobile. He died from the injuries.
