Margaret S. Carloss, 88, passed away June 9, 2016 at her home. She was born in Tyler, Texas February 2, 1928. She attended Hockaday Junior College in Dallas, Texas and the University of Texas in Austin, Texas where she received her bachelor's degree. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She married Harry E. Carloss, Jr. and they moved to Memphis. She was a member of Idlewild Presbyterian Church, the Junior League of Memphis and Partners for Profit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Judge Gordon Simpson and Grace Simpson and her husband Harry E. Carloss, Jr. She is survived by her three sons Harry E. Carloss, III (Janie) Memphis, TN, Gordon Carloss (Patricia) of Nashville, TN and Lewis Carloss (Shannon) of Tucson, AZ. She also leaves three grandchildren, Harry Edward Carloss IV, Eleanor Hardison, and Taylor Carloss and one great grandchild, Lillian Hardison. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Canale Funeral Directors, with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. Private burial will follow in Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Church Health Center, The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Canale Funeral Home (Obituary published by Canale Funeral Home)
