Kline, Ruthela Deal, 94, homemaker, died June 13. Private services (Mercer-Adams, Bethany).
The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Thursday, June 16, 2016, Page 7A.
Ruthela Deal Kline was born on September 12, 1921, in Weatherford, Oklahoma, to Ruth and Roy B. Deal. She experienced her true "birthday" on June 13, 2016. She was the second of four children and, being the only girl, enjoyed getting to travel the state, watching her well-known brothers play baseball day and night. Harboring her own athletic ambitions, she fell "in love" with tennis late in life and played regularly through her eighties. Many rich and fulfilling friendships were made through the sport. However, nothing superseded her interest and desire to pursue a closer relationship with Christ's Spirit. She never wavered on the principal that these "high things" were the only matter of real significance. She was preceded in natural death by husband, Judge David Adam Kline, Jr., her three brothers, R.B. Deal, Jr. and wife Dorothy, Ellis "Cot" Deal and wife Katie, and Clarence "Teedle" Deal and wife Virginia. She eagerly anticipated the reunion with her parents, husbands, in-laws, and other family and friends. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Steven and Patricia Kline, Timothy and Alyssa Kline, and Dr. Stephen and Ruthanna Kline Cagle, as well as seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many extremely close nieces and nephews. Private services.
