Geraldine M. Finster, 72, of North Las Vegas, Nev. passed away peacefully on June 2, 2016 with her family by her side.

Gerry, as she was called by both family and friends, was born in Rome, N.Y. on Sept. 28, 1943. She was the daughter of George H. McGowen and Margaret Quackenbush.

On April 6, 1962 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, William "Bill" C. Finster. Together they worked hard to raise their eight children. It was not always easy, but Gerry had a firm belief that as long as you had love in your heart and a meal on the table, you were the richest of the rich. She had a smile that could light up a room and faith that could move mountains. She loved to eat good food and to read her Bible.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bill; her infant daughter, Marjorie, and two grandsons, Jeromie Davis and Bruce Sancomb.

She is survived by five daughters, three sons, 32 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She leaves behind a twin brother, and a sister, both of Rome.
