Mrs. Chase, 89, passes away
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 10, for Eva Chase Labelle, 89, of Malone. She died on Wednesday, at the Alice Hyde Nursing Home.
Born in Fort Covington, March 31, 1889, she was a daughter of Alex and Sophronia Jock LaBelle.
She worked for many years in the Bangor Union School cafeteria. She was a member of St. Augustine's Church, North Bangor and the rosary society of the parish.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Margaret LaFleur of Brushton and Mrs. Mary McCarthy of Malone and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by five brothers and six sisters.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Brushton in the spring.
