Jonathan ("John the Elder")'s younger brother was "John the Younger" Bond. He was baptized 26 Dec 1591 in Saint Edmunds, Suffolk, England.

According to "Historical Homes and Institutions and Genealogical and Personal Memoirs of Worcester County, Massachusetts," by Ellery Bicknell Crane, 1907, Volume 1, Page 539, their father, Jonas Bond, moved to Saint Edmunds County in 1590. I am not sure why the younger John was born there in late December and the elder John (Jonathan) was born in Hampshire (probably at the beginning of 1591). They were not twins.

What is stranger is that their older brother, Oliver was born in May 1589 in Saint Edmunds, Suffolk, England, and it is suggested that HE was a twin, but I found no other Bond sibling born at the same time.
